CRABBY JACKS
West Cornwall is synonymous with the crystal clear waters that surround our coastline. For hundreds of years fishermen from every port and cove have hauled their pots to catch crabs and shellfish that are considered to be amongst the finest anywhere in the world.
Famed for their flavour, Cornish crabs and lobsters have been shipped out of county for many years. It was the sight of all this seafood leaving Cornwall that gave one enterprising couple from Sennen the idea to steer their fishing business into new and uncharted waters!
Crabby Jacks was started by Graham and Sarah Nicholas in 2007, when they decided to sell the crab and lobsters caught off their 10m crabber directly to customers in West Cornwall. In 2010 the business has grown and can now regularly be found at events across the UK.

FISHEY GILS
We are a family run fishing business based off our 18ft Netter currently moored in the Cornish fishing port of Newlyn. We catch fish using sustainable fishing methods as much as possible, and we also buy fish off other small local family owned boats. The business was set up as a way of maximising the business potential of our boat by selling our fish directly through farmers’ markets, farm shops and local delicatessens.
The ethos behind Fishey Gils is that every family can afford to buy good fish, particularly in this part of Cornwall. We are very strong advocates of sustainable fishing methods and only sell fish which is seasonally available from our own boat or other local trawlers. Fishey Gils is a regular stallholder at five farmers’ markets in West Cornwall and also accepts orders for delivery.

KELYNACK CORNISH FISH
Kelynack Cornish Fish is based in Mullion on the Lizard Peninsula with a small industrial retail unit selling to the catering industry as well as direct to the public. Specialising in fresh local fish caught from small family run boats based in the various small ports which surround the Lizard. Run by Jenny Lewis and Mike Thomas the business supports boats fishing out of Cadgwith, Coverack and the Lizard village.
